This was a very unique project in that the Architect, Landscape Architect and builder wanted one contractor to complete all of the stone work both in and outside of the home as well as all the flat surfaces including the driveway. The stone selection consisted of over 90 tons of five different types and styles of stone which were blended to create a distinctive finished product. Our masons carefully cut every piece of stone that was used for the veneer to ensure a tight fit. Thermal-edged Bluestone was used for each door and window opening along with accents of the home. Each opening was carefully measured in the field and compared to architectural drawings to ensure an accurate fit. Full color natural cleft flagstone was used for all flat surfaces. The name Aqua Terra is suitable for this property not only for the waterfront location but for the clients love of water as witnessed by the many water features included in this project.
